Whitehorse Music is a family owned business founded by Violinists Richard and Michelle Bodinnar in 2001. Richard is Head Luthier and has a passion for optimising the tone of String Instruments with the WHMusic Pro-Set-up.

Co-owner of Whitehorse Music with his wife Michelle. Richard is our String Specialist who spends the day perfecting the Violins, Violas and Celli by adjusting, carving and fitting parts to the instruments and then test playing them. His role as Whitehorse Musics' expert string specialist is complemented by his experience as a teacher and professional musician. Should you have a query regarding Antique string instruments including Cello, he is the person to ask.

Graham…

Is a professional musician and a trained luthier. A cellist from the age of ten, Graham’s love of the string family has found a perfect outlet in the making, repairing and restoration of all stringed instruments. Along with his ‘day job’ as a luthier, Graham can also be spotted around Melbourne performing anything from the Bach Suites to original folk rock with his band.

is a talented composer and violin teacher. She is the Supervisor at Whitehorse Music, and School Manager of Whitehorse Music School, organising the schedule for 300+ students and 20+ teachers. Sonoko is always happy to play violins to you and provide advice when it is your turn to choose a new violin.
